So the Olympics have officially begun. It's pretty crazy here in Vancouver (or so I've seen on TV). I haven't actually had a chance to venture downtown yet. I think I am going to check it out this weekend with some friends. I hear the atmosphere is just lovely; tons of people and they're all happy. Of course, there are the protesters, but that's a completely different story. Canada's got two gold medals as of today! GO CANADA! And while people have been decking themselves out in red and white gear... I opted for lavender coloured nail polish. You see, red has never been my colour...

On a completely non-Olympic-related note, I have an affinity for beautiful silk garments. Wilfred is a personal favourite. They just so happen to be dry-clean only, which adds $10 to the garment price every time I get it dirty... which apparently is often! Even when I've tried my hardest, it'll happen when I take my shirt/dress off; my lips will brush on the fabric and tada - lipgloss stainage. A friend suggested I try dryel... skeptical at first. Gave it a try on a pen-stain (dunno how I got it), and it's gone! Lovely alternative to dry-cleaning... Plus it's faster.
Vancouver weather is looking up... It was sunny today; chilly, though. Wish I had my sunglasses with me - I took them out of my bag this morning, because it was raining when I woke up.
Things are lovely. Oh, and so is the Sasquatch 2010 line-up!
xx,
C
